JAMES R COX WILEY FORD, W.Va. James Raymond Cox, 97, of Wiley Ford, died Friday, April 4, 2003, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born May 11, 1905, in Gay, he was the son of the late Milton and Elizabeth (Harman) Cox. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Susie Lucinda (Baldwin) Cox; sons, James W. Bill Cox, and Cecil C. Cox; and daughter-in-law, Dorothy Cox. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Mr. Cox was a retired truck driver for Charleton Brothers Trucking, a member of the Teamsters, and Protestant by faith. Surviving are two grandsons, Joseph R. Cox and wife Carol, and David W. Cox and wife Kathy, all of Cumberland. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Benny R. Brakeall officiating. Private interment will be in Abe Cemetery, Old Furnace Road.
