— RIDGELEY, W.Va. — Sharon Gay Lawson, 60, of Old Furnace Road, Ridgeley, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, at The Lions Center.
Born Sept. 26, 1947, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Opal (Clark) Weaver, Ridgeley, and the late Lawrence Carter Weaver.
Mrs. Weaver attended Potomac State College and West Virginia University.
She was retired from the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company, having been a supervisor in Accounts Payable.
Mrs. Lawson attended the Assembly of God Church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Lawson; two brothers, Ernest K. Weaver, of Ridgeley, and Lawrence E. Weaver, of Stockton, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Darrell Tichinel officiating.
Interment will be in Abe Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Weaver, Robby Weaver, Eric Weaver, Buck Weaver, Paul Chaney, and Larry Frost.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rosenbaum House at West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV 26506.
