Aubrey, Charlotte and Howard were killed October 3, 1926, when the car in which they were riding was struck by a Denver-bound Sante Fe passenger train 3 miles north of Sedalia. It was a Sunday, so had apparently gone for a drive into the mountains. Charlotte and Howard were dead on scene and Aubrey died on the way to Denver. Info from newpaper articles. (Aubrey was a cabinet maker. Charlotte's maiden name was Howard, so that is probably why they name their little boy Howard. Info from Denver City directory.)
