He married Marie Hoenig in Sacred Heart Church on December 27, 1938. He is survived by his wife Marie, 4 daughters and 2 sons.
He worked on the county roads for a number of years driving the maintainer to grade the dirt roads. He knew everyone in Precinct 3 where he graded the roads. He also farmed raising wheat and oats, raised cattle, pigs, chickens, guineas, geese and always had a sweet dog and had a palomino horse named Pal.
He was always content with what he had, never thinking he needed more. He always had a favorite joke that got everyone to laugh. He played dominoes and could always tell what you had in your hand. He worn only boots and never would wear any dress shoes.
