Walter Harvey Weed graduated in mining engineering from Columbia University in 1883. He is considered one of the most famous American Geologist. Weed discovered Death Gulch in Yellow Stone National Park, where wildlife are killed by carbon dioxide gas emitted from an ancient hot spring.
