Longtime Los Gatan Mark Magee, who had been residing in Santa Cruz, died by accidental drowning Jan. 7 at the age of 28.
Born Sept. 3, 1969, in Santa Clara, Magee went through Lexington Elementary School, Fisher Middle School and Los Gatos High School. He participated in track, basketball and football programs at all levels. He had also attended UC-Davis.
He was preceded in death by father John. J. Magee. Survivors include mother Glenice Magee of Los Gatos; brothers and sisters-in-law John and Mary Magee of Fremont and Steve and Lisa Magee of Modesto; nieces and nephews Megan, Sarah, Michael and Ryan; and grandmother Pearl Bragg of Connell, Wash.
Memorial services have been held, with inurnment at Los Gatos Memorial Park. Donations may be made to an environmental cause of choice.
