Hugh Hill Lansden was born in Davidson County, Tennessee February 1, 1893, the Son of Wirt Pistole Lansden and Mary Hester (Bohanon) Lansden. He died in a mining accident in Harlan County, Kentucky October 31, 1937. He married Bertha Leota (Lemarr) Lansden. To this union nine (9) children were born;
