Mrs. Adcock retired in 1986 from Kankakee School District 111, where she had taught at East Junior High School. Her husband, Joseph E. Adcock, whom she married in 1947, in Galesburg, died in 1985. She graduated from Galesburg High School and Knox College. She was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority, Crusades, Quadrille Club, Tuesday Book Review, Kankakee Valley Symphony, the Kankakee Valley Theatre, Kankakee County Historical Society and Riverside Medical Center Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, playing bridge and the piano.
Surviving are seven nieces and nephews, Robert and Cheryl McIntire of Danville, William McIntire of Santa Fe, N.Mex., Nancy McIntire of Eugene, Ore., John McIntire of Pittsburgh, Pa., Sue and Ted Shepherd of Phoenix, Ariz., Sally Kinsel of Normal, Jean and Jeff Stafford of Shreveport, La.; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Deceased are two sisters, Helen McIntire and Jean Sprenger.
