George was a son of George Brown (native of Annapolis, Maryland) and his wife, Nancy Poulson (born in Circleville, Ohio). He was the widower of Mary McKinley. George and Mary farmed near Delray (Iroquois County), Illinois. G. W. entered The county home, on May 19, 1930, due to being unable to work. His death was attributed to the flu.
