Alfred T Calhoun, 56, Spokane, a former Wenatchee resident, died in the Veterans Medical Center in Spokane early Monday morning following an illness of two months.

He was born July 7, 1925, in Amber, Okla., and moved to Wenatchee with his family when he was 2 years old. He attended schools here and in Leavenworth when the family moved to Plain in 1938. They returned to Wenatchee in 1941.

Mr. Calhoun worked for the Great Northern Railroad for several years and later worked with the U. S. Merchant Marine operations. In 1951, he enlisted in the U. S. Army and served during the Korean War. Following his discharge in 1954, he worked in the zinc mines in Idaho. For the past 10 years, he had lived in Spokane.

Survivors include one daughter, Vickie Garcia, Wenatchee, two brothers, Fred, Leavenworth, and Jess, East Wenatchee; two sisters, Mrs. Jack (Lois) Hessel, Spokane, and Mrs. Luther (Virginia) Davis, Seattle; also one granddaughter.
