My Dad told me many stories about him; he has a picture of him taken a few years before he passed away. I searched for more information about my Grandfather and was able to come up with the following information:
Per the U.S. Indian Census Schedules, 1885-1940 taken on April 1, 1931: my Grandfather was 45 years old; my Grandmother was 44 and listed as Hosteen Hoyabtti Badane; her name was Zoni.
My Uncles, Aunts and my Dad were listed as Tom Guy Badane, age 20 (1911); Dale Badane, age 18 (1913); Roy Kellwood Badane, age 15 (1916); Glehanebah Badane, age 12 (1919); Cho (Joe Hosteen Kellwood), age 10 (1921) and Bahizni bah (Molly Kellwood), age 6 (1925).
Rodger Wilcox is also listed as a family member; he was a Sheepherder who lived with my Grandfather's family.
My Grandfather's Arizona State Board of Health states that he died in Coconine County, Tuba City, Arizona on November 12, 1939 at 10:50 a.m. from pneumonia, right upper lobe at the Wes. Nav. General Hospital.
His was widowed at the time of his death; his residence was Steamboat Canyon, Arizona.
