Mildred Cawley Robbins, 89, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Friday morning, April 3, 2009. Mildred was a retired beautician and was a member of Haran Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Zula Cawley; her brothers, Hensel and Carl Cawley; her sister, Ernestine Rapp; and her husband, Walter V. (Robbie) Robbins. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen (Steve) and Carolyn Robbins, of Roanoke, and Michael (Mike) and Jean Robbins, of Charlotte, N.C.; her grandchildren, Elisabeth Watts and husband, Bryan, Stewart Robbins, and James Robbins, all of Charlotte, N.C., David V. Robbins and Ann Catherine (Catey) Robbins, both of Roanoke; a great-grandson, Camden Watts; a special niece, Cynthia Boyer, of Bedford; and several other nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2009, in Franklin Memorial Park with Dr. Don Pegram and the Rev. Charlie Hoffler officiating.
