CROSBYTON (Special) - Mrs. Sally May Smith, 88, a Crosby County pioneer, died Sunday in Lubbock's Methodist Hospital after an illines [sic] lasting almost a month.

Mrs. Smith, who first moved to this area in 1891, married the late George W. Smith in 1901 and lived the rest of her life in the Mount Blanco community in Crosby County.

Services are set for 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church here with the Rev. J.R. Williams, Welch, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Earnest Stewart, Crosbyton. Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Lowrie, Crosbyton, and Mrs. Stanley Ericson, Darien, Conn.; one sister, Mrs. K.G. Matthews, Borger; and three grandchildren.
