William H. Oberhaus was born June 4, 1922 in Eureka, Missouri the son of the late William Oberhaus and his wife, Charlotte, nee Breazele. He passed away on Friday, November 24, 2006 in Gerald, MO at the age of 84 years. William received his schooling at La Borque Creek School in Eureka, MO. On October 11, 1947 he was united in marriage to Ruth Stettes. Mr. Oberhaus worked in Road Construction for MODOT for a number of years where he retired.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Mike, Dick and Raymond Oberhaus. Two sisters, Dorothy Andrew and Janice in infancy.
He is survived by his wife Ruth Oberhaus of Gerald, MO. One son, David Oberhaus of Pacific, MO. One daughter, Bonnie Meyer and husband Bill of Gerald, MO. Four grandchildren. Two great grandchildren. Six sisters,
Charlotte Birmingham of Osborne, MO, Betty Oberhaus of Hazelwood, MO, Ann Todd and husband Harold of Wellsville, MO, Mayme Specht and husband Jim of Green Valley, AZ, Janet Penker and husband John of Cincinnati, OH and Ginny Lovelace and husband Marion of Morgantown, NC. One brother Pete Oberhaus of Middletown NC. Many other relatives and friends.
The Funeral Service was held Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at the Oltmann Funeral Home in Washington, MO with Rev. Joe Rowley officiating. The Oberhaus family was served by the Oltmann Funeral Home in Washington, MO. Memorials may be given to Bethel Cemetery Fund.
