He is survived by a son; two daughters; several grandchildren & 13 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be 10 a.m. on Monday at Friendship Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brant Funeral Service in Portsmouth.

James C. Cox, 75, formerly of Parkersburg, died at his home in Portsmouth, Ohio, on March 30, 2009.
He was born in Parkersburg, the son of the late John A. and Sarah Miller Cox.
He was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and Ohio University. He was in the electronic business.
He is survived by a son, Michael James Cox; daughter, Pamela Cox Wells; and several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by four sisters; and two brothers.
Graveside services were held on April 6 in Portsmouth.
