THE PARIS NEWS, Tue., Jul. 19, 1994, p.10A. 'Deport - Tessie Lee Chandler, 89, of Paris, formerly of Detroit, died Monday, July 18, 1994, in Cherry Street Annex. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, at Detroit Church of Christ with Benny Cogburn officiating. Burial will be in Detroit Cemetery by Wood Funeral Homes, Deport. Mrs. Chandler was born April 27, 1905, in Bagwell, a daughter of William Jacob and Ollie Elizabeth Mathis Hastings. She married Jess A. Chandler Nov. 23, 1928. He died May 16, 1962. She was a member of Detroit Church of Christ. Surviving are three nieces and four nephews, Kathryn Skaggs Stewart of San Antonio, Lois Lewis and Reba Mason of Dallas, Granville Ross Skaggs of Mount Pleasant, Ray Skaggs of Arlington, Billy Martin of Paris and James Latimer of Fulbright; and a number of great nieces and nephews.'
