"Current Local" newspaper (Van Buren, Carter Co., MO), Dec 12, 1901, pg. 4
Mrs. James Williams died at her home near Blue Hole, Thursday of last week and her body was brought to Van Buren and interred in the City Cemetery Friday. They had but recently left Van Buren and moved to Blue Hole -- The family went back Sunday where Mr. Williams and son are engaged in hauling logs.

Died at her home, Mrs. Myriah Williams. She was born Aug 7, 1851 and died Dec 5, 1901. She was the wife of James Williams and the mother of 8 children, 7 of whom are left to mourn her loss. She was a member of the Baptist Church and lived a faithful Christian --- Throughout her illness, she was conscious of her condition and her death was peaceful --- her remains were interred in the Van Buren Cemetery.

Research:

Mariah, or Myriah Hewitt Williams, was my paternal Great Grandmother. She was the daughter of Harvey Hewitt & Martha Ann Johnson. I have been searching for more information on her. Thank you, thank you for posting her obituary, with death date, on Find A Grave.
