Edith was a daughter of Denver and Nora Balthaser Stebelton. She graduated from Amanda H.S. in 1927. She and Herbert E. Wilson were married on Dec. 17, 1927, and they had a daughter, Dolores. They divorced in 1947. She then married Harry O. Welch on Oct. 25, 1953.
She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Columbus, McDowell Senior Citizens and Reynoldsburg Senior Center.
I spent a great deal of time with her while growing up. She and I even traveled to Washington, D.C. in 1962, on the train, and spent a week together there. We also had season tickets for Kenley Players in Columbus for several years.
She was my aunt.
