Funeral services were held Tuesday at Salinas, California for Jack A. Butler, 46, former Malad resident, who died unexpectedly Saturday of an apparent heart attack.
Husband of the former Dorcas Waddoups, Mr. Butler managed the Chat N' Chew Lounge in Malad for a short period after World War II. He has been employed by the Continental Baking Co. of Ogden and Salinas, California for the past 16 years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Marines in the Pacific Theater of Operations.
Surviving are his widow; two sons, Allen and Brent Butler; a daughter, Terry Lynn Butler, of Salinas; his mother, Mrs. Lenora Ellis, Sunnyvale, Calif., two sisters, Mrs. Jean Cady, Mrs. Pat Herrington.
