Catherine H. Fulkerson was born September 27, 1812 in Rockingham Co., Virginia, where her father had served as sheriff. She moved to the Missouri Territory in 1814 with her parents. They settled in Darst Bottom, St Charles County. Catherine married shapley Prince Ross in St. Charles County, Missouri, on November 4, 1830. Catherine and Shapley had nine children. Catherine is my eighth great grandmother on my mothers side.
