A graduate of Capital University in 1864 and from Evangelical Lutheran Seminary in Columbus in 1866 and ordanied by the Joint Synod of Ohio on July 1, 1866. Served in Pomeroy and Chester, Ohio from 1866 to 1873. Was in Springfield, Ohio from 1873-1893. The 1894 and the 1899 Lutheran Almanac list him at 1032 Main Steet in Columbus, Ohio. Begining in 1905 he is listed as Pastor Emeritus, last shown in Almanacs in 1908. Pastor also served on Board of Directors of both Capital University and the Seminary in the 1893 minutes. The 1900 census states occupation as grocer.
