In 1910 Lee lived in Eaton Rapids, Eaton, Michigan with his parents, brother Charles and sister Bernice. His father, Arthur, was a farmer.

In 1920, Lee lived in Eaton Rapids, Eaton, Michigan with his parents, brothers Charles and Lyle. His maternal grandfather, Marshal Smith also lives with the family. His father continues farming.

In 1930, Lee lived in Eaton Rapids, Eaton, Michigan with his parents and brother Lyle. Grandpa Smith is living with the family. His father is still farming.

In 1940, Lee lived in Eaton Rapids, Eaton, Michigan with his parents and brother Lyle. Grandpa Smith no longer lives with them and his father. All the men in the home are farming. Lyle and Lee are both single.

Lee Smith Clark, 88, died March 4, 1996.
Mr. Smith was born July 13, 1907, in Eaton Rapids Township, Eaton County, the son of Arthur W. and Lena (Smith) Clark. He attended the Smith School and the Lansing Conservatory of Music. He lived his entire life on a 120-acre Centennial farm on Smith Road. A landmark white oak on the farm, believed to be a sapling during the Revolutionary War, was the largest caliper tree registered in Eaton County in 1995.
In the early 1930's, Mr. Clark operated a grocery store and gas station on Walter Street in the city of Eaton Rapids. He served a number of years as the chairman of the board of the Smith School and was a past president of Eaton County Farm Bureau. He was a member of Robbins Methodist Church.
He is survived by one step-sister, Ruth (Howard) Smith of Mason; two step-brothers, Lee (Helen) Webb and Wesley Webb all of Mason; and special nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Florence; two brothers, Lyle and Charles Clark; and two sisters, Bernice Barrett and Myrtie Phillips.
Services were March 6 at the Skinner Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids, with the Rev. Paul Mergener officiating. Interment was in the Munger Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mary June Garn for the Rapids Ringers Elementary Handbell Choir.
