Harvey was big man. He was a farmer and did some carper work in later years. The first time I met Harvey was in Kansas. I flew into the Ottawa airport and started looking for him, starting at the post office. I found Harvey and told him who I was and he did not make the connection in his mind that I was his brothers son. Harvey had never seen the ocean, because he was scared to fly. When he took me back to the airport, I took him inside the airplane and showed him the controls the instrument panel and all the seats. He sat down in one and we talk about flying. I found out later after watching me take off that he told his wife it was time for them to go to California and visit his brother and sister. He got to fly and see the ocean.I got to visit them when they were to California.
