Jessie was a near lifelong resident of Franklin County, Kansas. She was a cook and dietician at the Osawatomie State Hospital. She also was a cook at Crestview Nursing Home, Ottawa until 1971. We had a nice visit before they drove me back to the Ottawa airport to fly back to Fort Scott, Kansas. Jessie was preceded in death by her brother Roy E. Broyles. Roy Broyles married Harvey's sister Fay Bernice Caldwell.
The first time I met Jessie was the same day I met her husband Harvey Caldwell. Harvey took me to where Jessie was working and said to her he brought someone to see her. She came to me with a big hug and said oh Kenneth it's been such a long time. She knew who I was without Harvey telling her. She said that she had seen me when I was a baby. It was 1970, I was 41 years old before I got see Jessie and Harvey.
I had a visit with Jessie and Harvey when they flew to California to visit Harvey's brother and sister.
