We pass this cemetery on our way to Florida and I decided to call the funeral home to see if I can get Louise's name placed on her mausoleum square. I talked to David and asked how much money it would cost to place her name on her square. He says $1,000. I tell him I didn't think we could put her name on the square since she shares it with up to 99 other urns. Silence. David then informs me that they we all considered unclaimed and were placed at Lakewood Memorial Park in Belleville, Illinois. I said, You threw my grandmother away! He says if she is in an unmarked box, we cannot claim her. Their records showed she is in a pearled sculptured box, so there is a good chance she is the only one in that type of urn. So if her name is on the urn or she is in the only pearled box, we can claim her, but they have no records of her. They do have a Louis C. Pierce who died the same day tho. The E was faded. On April 5, 2016 my mother and I drove to St. Louis and picked up Louise. David had her placed in a small chapel with flowers on each side, as if she had just recently died. She is currently with me, but I'm leaving Alexander White Mullen on her memorial since she was there from 1993 - 2011.
