Mrs. Shull died Monday, Dec. 22, 1997, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, where she was admitted Sunday with a stroke.
She was born July 20, 1920, in Jonesboro, Tenn., and was the daughter of the late Robert Joseph and Effie Miller White.
She graduated from East Tennessee State University and Bethany Theological Seminary, Richmond, Ind. She had taught school in Buchannon, Johnson City, Tenn., and Linville-Edom schools and coached both girls and boys basketball.
She moved to the area in 1978 from Ecuador with her husband the Rev. Merlin Shull, whom she married Aug. 19, 1955.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, .Mark Allen Shull Sr., Partlow, a daughter: Mary Elizabeth Kreitz, Ortanna, Pa.; a brother, Paul Robert White Sr. of Roanoke; two sisters, Ruth; Farnsworth, Johnson City, Tenn. and Elsie Garwood, Clifton Forge; and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday evening at the church following the service. Friends may also call at the Shull home anytime.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethany Theological Seminary, 615 W. National Road, Richmond, Ind.
