‎ ‎ ‎ WILDER — Services tor Opal May Brown, 71, Route 2, Wilder, who died Wednesday at a Caldwell hospital will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of -Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints, Homedale Ward, by Bishop Nolan R Taggart. Interment will be in the Wilder Cemetery under the direction of Flahiff Chapel, Caldwell.
‎ ‎ ‎ She was born Sept 19 1906 in Douglas County, Mo. She was reared at Ava, Mo. She married Elijah Kenion Brown July 20, 1924, at Ava. They made their home in Nebraska. In 1935 they moved to Wilder where they farmed. He died April 30 1949. She and her sons continued to farm. She worked for JR Simplot Co. Caldwell for 20 years.
‎ ‎ ‎ She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the latter-day Saints Homedale Ward, and the Relief Society.
‎ ‎ ‎ Surviving are four sons Gene of Seattle Russel of Wilder, Virgil of Boise and John of Milton Freewater, Ore.; three daughters Mrs. Dorothy Basey of Caldwell Mrs. Roma Wagoner of Hawaii and Mrs. Lois Schmidt of Victorville, Calif.; a stepbrother Thurman Johnson of Yakima, Wash; four stepsisters Verna Ellison and Vallda Hamilton both of Caldwell, Faye Maggard of Wilder and Mable Mahan of Payette; 18 grandchildren, a great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by a brother, a sister and a grandson.
