Herman Charles Hageman was born in Naperville, Ill., on May 8, 1884, the son of Charles and Fredericka Hageman. He was the only boy of four children. He received his education in the Naperville schools. At the age of 14 he started working at the Kroehler Mfg. Co. where he continued until his death, execept for a few months when he worked for the Western United Gas Co., at Downers Grove, Ill.
On June 22, 1910, he was united in marriage with Lillian R. Kroehler. To this union five children were born, one boy dying at the age of three.
Mr. Hageman was a faithful member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Wheaton, Ill., and also a member of the Mother Church, First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boston, Mass.
He was very active in Masonry, being a member of Euclid Lodge No. 65, A.F. & A.M.; Euclid Chapter No. 13 R.A.M.; Aurora Commandery No. 22; and the Shrine.
On Friday, November 10, 1944, Mr. Hageman passed away at the age of 60 years, six months, and two days.
He is mourned by his widow; three daughters, Ruth Herbert, Virginia Seetin, Grace Hageman, all of Naperville; one son, George, of Cleveland, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Anna Born of Naperville, and six grandchildren.
The memorial service was conducted by the Masonic Lodge, with Noble Harvey as Reader. Interment was in the Naperville Cemetery.
