Kathryn Veronica Hurt, daughter of John A. and Kathryn (Carr) Nolan was born Dec. 14, 1906 in Galesburg, IL and passed away 4:45pm Friday May 14, 1993 in Trinity Hospital, Rock Island, IL.
She married Thomas Benard Hurt in April, 1928. He died Jan.8, 1979.
She was a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy in Galesburg, worked as nurse's aide in Cottage Hospital, retiring in 1965.
She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, the choirs director, played the church organ and was a member of the Third Order of Carmalites.
Rosary will be recited 8:30am Tuesday and funeral services will be 10am Tuesday in Corpus Christi Church with Rev. Anthony Dai Mai officiating.
Burial will be in St.Joseph Cemetery under direction of Watson Funeral Home.
She is survived by three sons, Nolan and Murray both of Rock Island and J.D. of Moline; one daughter, Kathryn DeSmet of Creve Couer, MO; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
