Max Gustav Wilhelm Elowsky, born 22 November 1870 in Detroit, MI, was baptized 09 Dec 1870 by Rev. Johannes Adam Huegli in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Detroit, MI. His godparents were Gustav Leneske, August Zekinski, and Louise Karschnick.

Max was confirmed 06 April 1884 by Rev. Bruno Potzger in St. Michael's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Belknap. His memory verse for life was Deuteronomy 31:6.

Max married Henrietta 'Etta' Grefe 15 August 1895 in St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Wolf Creek - Wilson Township (Alpena County), MI Witnesses at their marriage by Rev. J. Lemster were Gusti Grefe and Minnie Nitz.
