Mrs. Gertrude Stacey, age 76, a former resident of Olney and a resident of Portland, Oregon for the past 22 years passed away yesterday morning at the Jallo's Convalescent home in Portland following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Stacey was born in Richland Co. IL, the daughter of Elisha Metcalf and Rebecca J. Allen. She was a member of the Antioch Christian Church. She was married to Ezra Stacey who passed away in 1939.
Her survivors are the following children; John Stacey, Jerry Stacey, and Mrs. Dorothy Cook, all of Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Violet Jones of Rockwood, Mrs. Helen Berry and Mrs Engledow, both of Olney, Mrs. Thelma Hughes of Red Bluff, Cal., and Robert Stacey of El Paso, Texas.
There are 17 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She also leaves a brother and sister, Mrs. Orpha Watkins of Olney and William Metcalf of Macon.
The body of Mrs. Stacey is being returned to Olney for final rites.
