Sandusky resident Harry E. Albee, 101, died on Tuesday May 13, 1997 at the Aurora Park Haelth Care Center in East Aurora.
He was born on October 3, 1895, to William and Alice (Cuninus) Albee in Ashley, Pennsylvania. He married Leona Howard on October 23, 1943, in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Albee was a member of Sandusky Baptist Church and a former machine operator at Diamond Saw in Chaffee. He also worked as a foreman at American Car & Foundry in Buffalo, now known as ACF Industries.
He is survived by three sons, Ross (Marcella) Albee of East Aurora, Albert (Dolores) Albee of Tonawanda, and David (Penny) Albee of Nashville, North Carolina; two daughters, Mary (Robert) Harris of West Orange, New Jersey, and Lois (Melvin) Herman of Long Island; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and four brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home in Arcade, where funeral services will be held on Friday, May 16, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Sandusky Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Sandusky Baptist Church or to the Arcade Rescue Squad.
