Jan 11, 1898:
Death of Mrs. Arthur. – Mrs. Sarah Arthur, wife of Mr. E.P. Arthur, the cashier of the Bimetalllic bank, passed away yesterday morning at her home on Prospect place, in this city of heart disease.
Mrs. Arthur was 57 years of age. Her death was unexpected and came as a great blow to those who knew her best. The remains were shipped yesterday to Union [Canon] City, where a sister is buried.
Her husband accompanied the remains to that place, and will remain there for a few days. Mrs. Arthur was well known in this city, and her loss will be felt by a large number of friends.
