ROBERT ROWAN Robert Travis Rowan was born Oct. 13, 1970, in Las Vegas, and was a lifelong resident. He died unexpectedly, April 7, 2009.

He graduated from Eldorado High School in 1989. Travis worked in the pool industry for nearly 20 years and was most recently employed at Allied Innovations.

He was involved in theater during high school and once played the Lion in "Wizard of Oz." He loved to scuba dive, ride jet skis and quads, play golf and go snowboarding.

He also enjoyed eating out -- especially crab legs, having a few cocktails with friends, watching the same movies over and over (annoying his girlfriend to no end) and taking naps. He loved to make people laugh and had a "silver tongue."

Travis is survived by his "monster," Zachary Rowan; and by his parents, Dennis and Ann Rowan. He was much loved and will be missed by his girlfriend, Joyce Lupiani, and his friends and family. Travis will be cremated per his wishes and there will be no service. Instead, friends and co-workers are invited to meet for drinks and a few laughs at 6 p.m. Monday, April 13, at The Artisan off of Sahara Avenue
