When his parents migrated to America in 1882 they settled in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. At the age of 21 the deceased came to Illinois. He made his home in Oak Park where he became acquainted with Miss Alice Wendling to whom he was united in holy wedlock on June 28, 1894. After a little more than 30 years this union was broken by the death of Mrs. Klingbeil on Nov. 24, 1924.
Mr. Klingbeil had worked for the Kroehler Manufacturing company until his retirement several years ago. When the family moved to Naperville in 1907 they transferred their church membership to the old Brick Church which is now the First Evangelical United Brethren church. Until his infirmities prevented him, Mr. Klingbeil attended the worship servicesd of the German group of the congregation and served as one of the librarians of the Sunday school.
He is survived by three children, Emil of San Antonio, Tex., and Ruth and Willard of Naperville. There are two grandchildren, Jack of Naperville and Janet of San Antonio. One brother, Fred, the youngest of the family also survives.
Mr. Klingbeil was a very active member of the Masonic order in which he took a special interest in the preparation of applicants for initiation. Fellow Masons acted as pallbearers at the funeral service last Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the A. R. Beidelman funeral chapel. The service was in charge of Rev. Dewey R. Eder who was assisted by Rev. Charles Rodesiler, German minister of First Church. Interment took place in Naperville Cemetery.
