Stella B. Somers, resident of Ponca City died Friday, October 10, 2003 at the Ponca City Nursing Home. She was 100.

The funeral service will be held graveside 2 pm, Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at the Riverview Cemetery in Arkansas City, Kansas with Robert L. Ferris, Pastor, First Christian Church of Newkirk, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home.

Stella was born on March 8, 1903 in Nacogdoches, Texas the daughter of Algernon A. and Ida (Pitman) Alsup. She was a bookkeeper for the Farmers Coop in Arkansas City for many years. She enjoyed macramé and was an excellent cake decorator. She was a member of the Army Mothers, Order of the Eastern Star, Past Worthy High Priestess of the White Shrine and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Arkansas City. She is survived by one daughter Eleanor Miller of Ponca City and one son Robert I Morhain and his wife Erma of Wellington, Utah, six grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters.
