Died, at the home of J. P. Hart, her son in law, in Carterville, on Tuesday, June 25th, 1901, Mrs. W. K. Hayter, mother of Mrs. J. P. Hart.

Funeral services were conducted at the residence after which the remains were interred in Webb City cemetery. Mrs. Hayter was formerly an old resident of Newtonia, and has many friends here who will regret to hear of her death.

Mrs W K Hayter was born as Rachel Ledbetter. She and her husband are in the Overton County, Tennessee Census in 1850.

(Her brother was my GGG Grandfather Isaac Jones Ledbetter. The Hayter and Ledbetter families had moved to Carroll County, Arkansas by 1860, where they were recorded in the 1860 census. Both families were served by the Berryville post office.)
