Theodore Warren Beecher was born in Portland to Theodore Charles and Ruth Beecher. Ted was raised in Portland, graduating from Washington High School in 1960. Immediately following graduation, Ted enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in post-war Korea as well as in Germany. He met Carolyn Boggs in April of 1964 while attending a live music show in Spokane. The couple exchanged wedding vows on May 16 of the same year. From their union, three children were born, Pamela, Daniel and William. Ted loved classic cars. He enjoyed all types of music and on occasion could be found in a casino at the craps table. Involved in many organizations, Ted was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite, Eastern Star, Shriners, Milwaukie Elks, Rose City Thunderbird Club, Disney Fan Club (he was the nephew of Walt Disney) and the American Legion. Ted is survived by his loving wife; children; and five grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2009, in the Tri-City Baptist Temple in Gladstone. A graveside service in Lincoln Memorial Park will follow.
