Birth Register states name as Minnie R. Piles. Variations of middle name I've come across include Ava, May, Melrose, Rosie, and Rosa. I always thought her name was Minnie Melrose. I was told Minnie's daughter, Edna, named her daughter after her mother - Minnie Melrose Cordelia Boylen. (Cordelia being from her paternal grandmother). Interesting at least.
