Retired Grocer Dies at Aqe 77; 47-year Resident

Lon Hannon, 77, of 1336 N. Market, a retired grocer, died Saturday at Wesley Hospital.

Mr. Hannon was born Feb. 26, 1880, in Leon, Kan. He came to Wichita from Leon 47 years ago. He had operated many grocery stores in and around Wichita. Mr. Hannon was a member of Leon Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Edna; two daughters, Mrs. C. E. Auburn, 3412 E. Central, and Mrs. A. L. Kincaid, 222 S. Glendale; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Clark, 430 Waverly Dr., and Mrs. Wayne Lowthers, Tulsa, Okla.; and a brother, C. L. Hannon, 321 N. Seneca.

Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday at Downing Mortuary. The Rev. Robert L. Woods, pastor of Meridian Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
