Margaret was the middle child of three children born to William Albert Hayes and Hazel Monroe Smith Hayes. She married Howard Francis "Frank" Sharp in 1967, and their son was born in 1969.
Margaret suffered from chronic illness for most of her life; despite that burden, she was an artistic, creative spirit.
