Jacob Auxer
1781 - 1843
During his early life Jacob Auxer practiced the trade of a linen weaver, but, years before his death, rheumatism forced him to give up all attempts at steady work. In spite of this drawback, he accumulated sufficient goods to provide his family with the comforts of life and laid up enough necessities for the old age of himself and his wife. At the time of his death he was 73 years of age. His wife, who was many years his junior, died at the age of 82 and was interred in the cemetery at Lancaster.
