James William Ratliff, Route 3, Chickasha passed away August 16 at a local nursing home having been in failing health for the past three years. Services were at 4 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Sevier Funeral Home with Rev. Leroy Black officiating.
He was born August 29, 1891 near Choctaw and resided in Chickasha and Middleberg area for 72 years, having been a farmer and a dairyman retiring 17 years ago. He married Bessie Ogle July 25, 1915 in Harris community.
Survivors are his wife; three sons, William, Route 3, Chickasha, David and J. W. Jr. both of Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. Jessie Wilkerson, Mrs. Beulah Wilkson and Mrs. Clista King all of Calif. Mrs. Erma Ash, Ill. 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; one brother.
Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
