MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - Robert Lee Bass, 79, formerly of Ridgeland, died Sunday, July 1, 2001, in Milledgeville. Services will be private. Mr. Bass was born in Florence, a son of the late Nathaniel Burton Bass and Mary Sue Gilliam Bass. A World War II veteran of the U.S. Merchant Marine, he was a graduate of the Citadel. He was employed as
Superintendent of Okeetee Club Plantation, Ridgeland, for over 25 years.

Surviving are a daughter, Alyce Bass Walsh of Beaufort; two
grandchildren; and a great grandson. He was predeceased by two sons, Robert Bass and Burton Bass.

Williams White Columns Funeral Home of Milledgeville is in charge.
