Mr. Frank J. Palma, 62, passed away on Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, at the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. The funeral will be conducted from the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Ave., on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. There will be a Funeral Mass in his memory at Holy Name of Jesus Church, East Orange, at 10 a.m. The entombment will be at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. Born and raised in Newark, Mr. Palma had resided in the same home his entire life. He was a U.S. postal supervisor in Newark for many years before retiring in 1980. He then acquired two Dunkin' Donuts and most recently a collection agency in Nutley. Mr. Palma was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Yolanda (nee Monte) Palma, and most recently by his loving daughter, Jayme Anne Palma. He was the beloved husband for 40 years of Julia A. (Alongi) Palma; brother of Anna Jean Zack; father-in-law of Marc Stephens; grandfather of Bianca Stephens; brother-in-law of Paul and Toni Alongi, Sebastian and Marianne Alongi, Anthony Alongi; brother in friendship for many years to Ralph and Linda Casale, and uncle to Paul and Kim Alongi, Gina and Tom Ring, Sebastian and Christine Alongi, Angela and James O'Brien, Michael Alongi, Ralph Casale and April Casale. He is also survived by many cherished aunts, uncles and cousins.
