— Alice Bergen Bulmer, 69, of Laurel, died April 9, 2009.
Born Nov. 29, 1939 in Fayette County, she was the daughter of Lowell and Garnett Rowe Bergen, both deceased. She married William D. Bulmer May 27, 1960; he survives.
Mrs. Bulmer was a member of Buena Southern Missionary Baptist Church. She had worked at Pavey's Grocery since 1994 and had also driven a school bus in Franklin County for 25 years.
Survivors in addition to her husband include daughter, Nina (Steve) Murphy of Laurel; sons, Gerald H. (Vickie) Bulmer, Derrel Bulmer, Phillip David (Janie) Bulmer, all of Laurel, Noel Christopher (Thelma) Bulmer, Samuel Tracy (Veronica) Bulmer and James (Shari) Bulmer, all of Metamora; brothers, Lowell (Cheryl) Bergen of Rushville and Marvin (Kathy) Bergen of Connersville; sisters, Phyllis Ellison of Sunman, Hazel Grizzell of Falmouth, Caroletta (Kenny) Murray of Connersville and Ethel Dye of Laurel; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Justin Terry Bulmer; a sister, Nellie Scott; and a brother, Charles Bergen.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Buena Southern Missionary Baptist Church, 25220 Chapel Road, Laurel, with Brother Rob Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Cupps Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church.
Urban Winkler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
