Mrs. Webb died August 30. She was a member of Tibitha Church of God. She was born January 18, 1925 in Westmoreland County, Virginia, but was raised mostly in Richmond County. She worked for Alvin Northern Department Store 1944 -45, also with Virginia East Coast Telephone and East Coast Utilities Company, at Warsaw and Kilmarnock. In 1947, she moved to Reedville to work for Tidewater Telephone Company. In 1959, she went to work for Virginia Electric Power Company in Kilmarnock and later in Warsaw. Most of her life was spent in Northumberland County. She also was a night companion for Mrs. Lutie Marsh.
Surviving are two sons Preston I. Webb of Warsaw, and Aubrey K. Webb of Reedville. Three half-brothers, Charle Ben Simmons of Tappahannock, Sherman H. Simmons of Callao, and Ralph Simmons of Warsaw; two half-sisters, Kathryn E. Gracie of Florida, and Darlene S. Haydon of Warsaw. She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Harris.
