Funeral services for Mrs. Ford, 88, of Hornbeck were held at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Pleasant View Baptist Church the Reverends Kenneth Baggs and Buddy Airhart officiated. Burial followed at Prewitt's Chapel under the direction of Smart & Son of Leesville.
Mrs. Ford passed away May 14 at Bryd Regional Hospital in Leesville. She was preceded in death by her husband Owen Ford and daughters Marcel Browning and Barbara Browning Hale; step-daughters Ruby J. Browning, along with her son Max Browning; and step sons Jimmy Browning and J. W. Browning; brothers James Neal and Hollis Neal; and sister Estelle Brown.
Survivors are her grandchildren Jerry Wayne Hale of Hornbeck and Cecilia Hartman of California and many step-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; her brother Julian Neal of Leesville and sister Leverne Vogal; step-sons Charles Browning, Jr. of Tysdale, Mass. and Arthur Browning of Sugarland, Texas; and step-daughter
