Waldo E. Golden

Services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. for Waldo E. Golden, M.D., U.S. Navy retired, who died unexpectedly yesterday at his home, 601 Euclid Avenue.

He was 60.

Born in Flora, Illinois, Dr. Golden graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1917. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1917 and served as Medical Officer for approximately 28 years. He retired from active service in 1945 and was with the Solano County Medical Department in Vallejo from 1946 to 1949. At the time of his death Dr. Golden as serving as a public health officer for the city of Oakland. He had lived here approximately 14 years.

Surviving are his wife, Viola, 3 daughters; Mrs. Elizabeth E. Anderson of Orinda, Mrs. Barbara J. Dunnill of San Diego, and Mrs. Angela Mary Sand of Berkeley, a son; Patrick Emerson Golden, who is attending medical school in Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska, and 8 grandchildren.

Services will be held at Berkeley Hills Chapel, 1602 Shattuck Avenue, Interment will be at Golden Gate National Cemetery.
