Funeral services for Ruby Morine Battenfield, 72, of Muskogee will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home Chapel with Charlie Holcomb officiating. Pallbearers are grandsons. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery. Ruby Morine Battenfield was born July 5, 1936 in Muskogee, OK the daughter of Ted Applegate and Elizabeth Betty (Myers) Applegate and died April 11, 2009 in Muskogee. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her father, and brother T.D. Applegate. Survivors include her mother, Elizabeth Applegate of Muskogee, OK; four children, Ted Battenfield and wife Brenda of Muskogee, OK; Julie Birdtail and husband, Billie of Tahlequah, OK; Timmy Battenfield of Muskogee, OK; Eddy Battenfield and wife Judy of Gore, OK; brothers, Bill Applegate and Danny Applegate of Muskogee, OK; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
